Jessamine Price
Jessamine Price is a writer, educator and world traveler who holds a Master of Philosophy in history from the University of Oxford (2000). She has four years' experience teaching humanities, world religions and history at elite American prep schools. Price also spent five years as a doctoral student in Middle East Studies at New York University. There, she learned to speak Arabic fluently and received several prestigious fellowships, including a Fulbright and a Mellon First-Year Fellowship in the Humanities.
Price’s travel experience includes two years living in Cairo, one year living in Yemen and extensive budget travel in Europe and the Middle East. Her advice on travel and expatriate life has appeared in Transitions Abroad. Price also writes articles on travel, history and education for Suite 101 and eHow.
Price is currently working on a memoir of her sojourn in Yemen. She also has an interest in health and science and sometimes applies her research skills to writing articles about health issues.
